Chazen Museum

The Chazen Museum of Art (formerly named the Elvehjem Museum of Art) owns a rare collection of 22 Russian icons which were selected by the leading technical experts on icons connected with the Soviet government and Tretiakov Museum and 96 early Soviet paintings covering various aspects of early Soviet life. This collection was donated to the university by Joseph E. Davies, U.S. Ambassador to the Soviet Union in the 1930s.
