Pushkin Collection of the Wisconsin Center for Pushkin Studies
- The Pushkin Collection is a library containing more than 7300 individually
cataloged journal articles, monographs, collections of articles about Pushkin,
editions and book-form translations. The collection is outstanding for the
comprehensiveness of its holdings of periodical publications on Pushkin,
and of individual articles published in books of scholarly journals. The
collection is based on the private library of Professor Emeritus J. Thomas
Shaw who donated his collection to the University of Wisconsin and has been
broadened through donations of books and microfilms from the Pushkin Group
at Pushkin House, St. Petersburg, Russia. New materials are continually
being acquired through use of listings in scholarly bibliographical publications,
such as the MLA International Bibliography, and through on going cooperation
with Pushkin House; and systematic efforts are made to discover and fill
gaps inf older materials. For more information on the Pushkin Collection,
see the homepage of the Wisconsin Center for Pushkin Studies.
