Center for Research Libraries
- The Center for Research Libraries
(CRL) acquires, stores, and provides access to less widely held scholarly
research materials that supplement and thus support the research collections
of its over 200 member institutions. In addition to its own collection of newspapers,
documents, and foreign dissertations, collections of CRL include the publications
of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR, archival materials of historical
importance (primary focus on those that record the activities of national
governments), foreign doctoral dissertations, and newspapers (foreign, ethnic,
and U.S. general circulation).
UW-Madison is a full institutional member of CRL and as such, Faculty and Graduate Students of UW-Madison may request CRL materials through Inter-library Loan (262-1193).
